Columbus is really a patchwork of distinct neighborhoods, each with its own price point and personality. If you're not sure where to start your search, here's a quick comparison of a few of the most-searched areas and where they land on cost.

Short North

Columbus's arts and entertainment district, known for galleries, restaurants, and a busy nightlife scene. It's also one of the priciest places to rent in the city — one-bedroom units in the 43215 ZIP code average around $1,835 a month, well above the citywide average.

German Village

A historic, walkable neighborhood just south of downtown known for brick streets and 19th-century architecture. The charm comes with a price tag — German Village consistently ranks among Columbus's higher-cost rental markets.

Clintonville

A more residential, family-friendly area along the Olentangy River known for tree-lined streets and proximity to Whetstone Park. Rent here tends to run closer to the citywide average than Short North or German Village, without giving up walkability.

Downtown / Arena District

High-rise living close to sports venues, office towers, and nightlife. Convenient if you work downtown, but typically priced at a premium for the location.

North Columbus / Worthington Corridor

A quieter, more suburban feel anchored by Worthington's historic village center, with easy I-71 access and Highbanks Metro Park nearby. Rent here generally runs below the citywide average, making it one of the more budget-friendly corridors for renters who still want a reasonable commute into the city.

Where The Continent French Quarter Fits In

The Continent French Quarter Apartments sits in that North Columbus corridor, with rent from $875 to $1,500 a month — comfortably below what you'd pay for a comparable unit in Short North, German Village, or downtown, with electric included on top of it.
